happy holidays! This, I think is my first actual journal entry although I have had a deviantart for quite some time (I just rarely ever do anything with my profile).

Right now I am in LA and underneath bed covers using an ASUS laptop to write this in a hotel room.

I recently watched the movie valkyrie. The  movie with Tom Cruise in it, where he is a WWII Nazi col. and tries to assassinate Hitler.

It was VERY good, if you have not seen it,  I recommend so, it is also educational too, becuase I did not know how the people  went through with the plan, how many attempts were made, etc.

It is also based off a true story.

Anyway, for all of us at one point tonight the new year of 2008 pass into 2009. I am still alive over here, and for the new year I will be driving back up to Santa Rosa from LA.


02/05/09--22:25: A geeky moment I'm sorry XD (chan 2056047)




I absolutely cannot help myself here, since I am a halo fan I must blurb a little about Halo Wars. Most geeks know that today, on the 5th of February the demo came out. It bragged a major revolution in the way you construct bases and play an RTS on a console without complicating everything (i.e. pressing a button once, twice, or holding it down for three different commands).

It did not dissapoint. It uses the number pad to jump around the battlefield, select your base with left arrow, and units with right arrow. hold down the "A" button to drag a circle around units. press LB to select them all.

I don't know how many people out there know about the Anime/Manga Elfen Lied.  It is very intense, bloody, with some nudity, and generally something someone wouldn't find on youtube (that's where I found it lol).

It is about "Dyclonius" A creature with horns (that look more like ears) and have invisible hands/arms called "Vectors" (lol). It is a 13 episode miniseries, but the manga is longer I'm sure, although I haven't read it (yet).  Aside from the fighting, and nudity it captured my attention quite well, and I think this anime deserves a lot more notice.

So I think I should write a little something about Fanime and the update on it.

First of all, I have told most people that I am going but haven't really posted an update or anything about it for that matter.

On May 22, I will be leaving for San Jose, where it is located.  I have reserved a hotel room at the Fairmont right next to the convention center.

As you know by now, there has been a lot of rumor on Pokemon Gold/Silver remakes. This is true, on Saturday morning Nintendo announced the Pokemon Remakes are official and will be titled HeartGold and SoulSilver. You can find some more info on

So I am finally able to write a journal about my fanime experience. I've been doing so much other stuff afterward that it has been hard to sit down and type this.

on Friday the 22, I got to the fairmont hotel in san jose at around 10am, got the hotel room, changed into my outfit and went to the Convention center about 3 blocks away. However I got so many pictures taken of me even before I got in the building it must have been about 12pm before I even managed to step inside the building. I'm gonna try and do all these in one go.

Saturday was by far the best, and most busy of all the days there to me. In the morning, I actually went and got breakfast, and for a con-goer that is kind of rare ^^;
However, I managed to get to the convention earlier, but due to the doubled crowd size outside the convention center It was past noon before I got in. Although before I got into the main building, at about 11:30 or so, a Japanese Celebrity, Halko Momoi, was outside, and everyone went crazy. I was lucky though, Momoi-San asked me if she could get a picture with ME, and not the other way around. Considering there were about 10 other

I woke up earlier that the other three this morning, and went down to meet Reno #1 in an overpass that connected the two fairmont buildings, and we went down to actually get something to eat ^^;, and then walked over to the Convention Center.  Still got some pictures taken of me out front, but not as many. 06/01/09--12:20: Fanime 2009 Monday (chan 2056047)




The last day of Fanime 2009: Monday the 25. :tear:

I wanted to get as much time at the Con as possible, so I woke up at 8am, skipped breakfast and went straight there. About 2/3 of the people were gone this day, and the most pictures I received in one standing was 5. I just found someone dressed as Souske Aizen from Bleach, and hung out with him for a bit...and he shared his pocky :D.
I went to a Theatre afterward and watched some silent anime movie until about 10:30 that was actually really good. I don't know what it's called unfortunately :(

so it has been a couple weeks since fanime...my brain is coming out of "sorting" mode. I'm still really missing it though...

Anyway, Rachel woke me up at about 4am this morning, because I was going to drop her off at the Santa Rosa airport which makes trips to Las Vegas, L.A, and somewhere in Alaska.

My dad (who was driving) and me an Rachel got there at about 5:20am for her 6:05 flight which she booked early to save some money, but both of us were agreeing that it was waaaaaaaay too early to be up.

Well, I've been trying to write this story recently, about Mara, my cute, red-headed little fairy. Anyway it's slow going due to the nature of the story; being about Mara's main childhood event (getting separated from her family). So I need to get readers to be attached to Mara so that when she gets separated people will feel it, and I'm not that great of a writer. I don't have a lot of confidence in myself...I've rewritten this same story over and over, especially the beginning. So first off. I'm kinda stressed right now. Actually both "stressed" and "kinda" no longer apply, because it's gone past that. I cannot lie, this level of frustration ever occurs in my life. The last point was when I almost got sent to jail for battery when I was in 5th grade. But that's another story.

I wont be getting any presents this year.

My cat Arlo is dreadfully sick, some of you know the kitty im talking about: large, orange, and loves to melt into people's arms.  5 or 6 years ago he got feline lukemia, and miraculously survived. Today he has an enlarged spleen, and his blood count was extremely low, so he was kept at an animal emergency center in Rhonert Park where he received a blood transfusion.  Since we dont have a healthcare plan anymore due to the county supervisors and economic problems we had to  pay the full cost.

However, in my humble opinion, i'd rather not receive any presents if it

Anywhay there it is. It's literally a few houses down from my church, and about 8-12 firetrucks were outside. I dont know why there were so many, but it was pretty intense. people were watching everywhere, and this was at 8:00am. Luckily no one was hurt.

My next project is a story that I planned to have up today.  However, it will be  taking a little bit longer as I spent about two pages setting it up. I hope it isn't a bore to read, but I want a little bit of development before I plunge into the plot-line.

Just a quickie rant here to get it out of my system:

I've been spending a lot of time on Mass Effect 2's insanity difficulty (2 levels higher than "hard") and Im stranded on a moving platform with nowhere to take cover. I've run into every glitch in the book: controller dies and the game doesn't pause when this happens so I get killed in .5 seconds, I try to shoot and my character thinks im trying to get him out of cover, I reload and he gets out of what little cover he has and runs out in enemy territory  instead, collision detection fail, I even beat the floating platforms section and I got caught in a progression-less limbo,

I came to church today wearing blue. I'm not really  sure about the significance of the color in relation to the event though. A woman namd Mary-Lynn died on friday,  and I got the email yesterday about it. It really soured my mood.

Then today during the service I found out that the sister of one of my ex-youth leaders (ex, because I am too old for the youth group now ^^; ). That was really sad. Her name was Rebecca.

:iconzoekin: is gone. He contributed far more to the world of felarya than he thought he did. He meant a great deal to a large number of people.

I feel I must post a journal about this, as I liked his stories a lot myself. I was worried constantly about him, since he often came onto the felarya chatbox depressed, and a lot of people would end up telling him how much we do care, and yet he would insist that a lot of people out there hated him.

I'll cut down to the chase: my cat arlo is terminally ill. several years ago he got feline lukemia, and survived. last year he got over a bone marror disease, but now it has come back at full force. The vets give him three weeks to a year at most.

This is really sad for me, because never having any animals as a little kid, this will be the first death that I will experience. Arlo is only 8 years old, and has gotten problem after problem. I frequently think about how the poor guy must feel being sick all the time.

Our whole family loves him, and we have two other cats, but it just wont feel the same without all three walking around. I w

So the beta ended last night for Bungie's latest Halo game.
Also, this is a detailed explanation of everything about the game.

It was great! Not as great as last year, but I managed to get an autograph of Halko Momoi this time, and not just her picture. She was at the guest party this time too, so I got to have a nice conversation with her. The autographing was funny. It's a nightmare...

So I was supposed to leave two hours ago for a camping trip. My dad decided to leave to get some ice like...3 to 4 hours ago? He hasn't come back yet. It's really aggrivating, who can POSSIBLY be so irresponsible with their time? My mom checked her bank account, and he's already bought the things he's supposed to. The main problem is that he never took his cell phone with him  so there's no way of getting a hold of him. I figure if he got in a crash or something then he would have been able to borrow a phone from wherever.

Alright, so it was fun when I got there. Had some s'mores, went swimming in the river nearby, took a few hikes, got bitten by the little flees. Saw some miaxi (bees XD). I saw some butterflies (or fairies. :P). Sang songs too, actually a park ranger came near our group telling us to pipe down 'cus it was 11:30. A lot of the people in the surrounding area started clapping after we finished singing.

After I set up the tent I asked my dad for a bug catching net, to go look for ano's fairy XD but my dad was like "aren't they 100 ft tall or something?" ...cus yeah I told him about felarya and stuff. I laughed. If you decide to call butterflies

My cat may be dying. I don't really know what else to say. He's been on the floor for the past day wheezing, just like Ebony did before she died. I don't want to loose a pet now...I got a job, and I'm doing much better in school now. It seems every time something good happens, something more drastic takes it's place.

With Ebony it was different, because we only had her a couple of days, but Arlo is totally different...I have a presentation in about 20 minutes though, so I'll try my best to get my mind off this in the mean time...


08/05/10--15:14: The Passing of a Titan (chan 2056047)




He died just the way he would have wanted. Arlo passed away today at 3:05 pm PST.
He's had so much trouble his whole life. We found him by my piano teacher 8 years ago, in a box. Now matter how old he was he would always be found in a box...
At one and a half years he got feline lukemia, and later recovered from it at the cost of a terrible bone marrow disease. Throughout his life he acquired various colds, fevers, and such. He's survived so much, and endured so much more.

I dont believe he's gone though, I do, and yet I don't. I will always remember those big round green eyes of his, his orange tabby fur, his mane coon tail...

Today, Milo (our new kitty) bit my mom for the second time, and now she wants to get rid of him because he's too feral.

Later my mom came in and yelled at me for being obsessed and stuff. This part is actually pretty normal, but it's still frustrating.

A friend of my parents is loosing her house and needs to give out her cats, because otherwise they'll be taken to a shelter to be euthanized. I know it's a bit late, but I haven't had time until now. I woke up at 1am this morning. o.o

Anyway, I know for a lot of you it's no longer new year's day, but I hope you can cut me some slack ^^;

As a recap, 2010 was one of the worst year's I've had in my life, so for all it's worth, I hope that with 2011 I can succeed to the polar opposite. I have some hopes that I will be able to get my certificate this year and get out into the professional world finally, and also really improve as a writer, since I know it's not my strong suit by any means.

So recently I've had some time on my hands, as everyone seems to be getting back to school. My winter break still has a whole week left, so I've been staying up late a lot. Anyway, a few months back a fellow deviant posted a journal about an anime which centers around androids in the future. It's called "Eve no Jikan", and although I've only seen one episode it seems rather interesting.

I've neglected to write this, but it's been more than two years since I started using Mara, and developing her as a Felaryan character. It all started on the IRC, and I wanted to enjoy celebrate by writing this Journal entry.

I can't believe it's been two years that I've put into developing her personality,  fiddling around with who she might be, and what I will do with her. I am very pleased with the progress made, despite also, the progress I would have loved to have made thus far. Indeed my goal to get her canonized within Felarya's universe has encouraged me not to give up, and to show the community that Fairies just aren't

I just got one. =D You can thank my friend :iconthepsynergist: for putting it together and making sure it's mother-proof. (long long story.) I also got a nice graphics card. Which can run...over 500 fps? and with max settings at like 240? I can't remember, lol. I'm real happy with it - the only thing now is that I need photoshop and MSword. I have 3ds max, and I've been troubleshooting that for the last few days, and I've narrowed down the problem. It wont be too much longer until I can start rigging models at home! I'm real excited about writing my contest entry, I'll probably download text editor (an advanced version of notepad) and finish

In light of recent events, with my being called to jury duty this past week, my new computer finally being built, and the schism that happened with Felarya, I guess I just took a break. I kind of lost motivation, even though I wanted to write more. I kept waking up and wondering if I would find the time to continue Mara's story.

Well I think I've found a desire to write again. I dunno, it just came and went. I never want to stop developing her that's for sure. I'm rigging her in her in 3ds max, and will most likely be doing that tomorrow morning instead of writing, but I'll definitely get around to it. I don't have MS word, actually, since

I'll be honest. My life isn't looking too great right now, and even though I've been hesitant to do this: I am forced to open commissions probably against my better judgement. I'll start off with $10 for lineart, and maybe throw in a coloring job if you want it, or are willing to pay me for it. My current WIP on the chimera should indicate vaguely my ability. Though remember it's a WIP. If I do charge for coloring it'll be just another $5. Prices are negotiable.

Now for the reasons. There are quite a few. As some of you know I have a 3d modeling class, and it costs $4 to park every night - on top of the gas for driving way out of my way. I

So I figured I should make a separate entry just for commissions. I would like to make a section on my page dedicated to commissions, but not entirely sure how to do that.

Here's the deal: $10 for lineart, $5 for coloring, multiple characters, and a background, or each deal that will make the commission bigger. (like coloring and such, as stated earlier)

The first person to suggest a new deal  will get that totally free. IE the first person to ask for a background wont be charged. The second person to ask for one will be charged half-price. After that, I will ask for a normal payment. I may include special deals on holidays.

Osama is dead, they have his body. I am very excited about this, and it proves the US can do the right thing under the right leadership. Go Obama.

Honestly this end of the world stuff is getting a bit annoying. Apparently the Rapture is tomorrow, or so some Christians say. Apparently these guys haven't read the bible, because it says in -

1 Thessalonians 5:1-2 "Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night."

So yeah, we'll never know when the end of the world is, so it's best that people just stop expecting it every other year. Also, a friend told me some atheists are going to leave some clothes spread out in front of churches. I wonder if that will be in the news

Okay...so this is some really messed up stuff, there is this person out there named Andrew Blake (supposedly) who has used multiple aliases like Amy Player/Jordon Wood/Victoria Bitter/thanfiction/etc. If someone asks you for money to sponsor a charity walk through New Zealand to honor a dead friend...don't. Said person has ruined lots of people's lives over this. In CA there was a shooting in Fairfield, and this person was "involved somehow", and...well...I'll post some links.

05/25/11--21:21: Fanime! (chan 2056047)




It's coming up really soon :D The bad news is that I might be arriving there at like 4pm to 6 pm on friday, instead of like 10am Friday morning. My cosplay group is actually meeting Thursday evening supposedly. Unfortunately that's not possible for me, as much as I'd KILL to meet Thursday at Fanime. That makes it a 5 day convention for them O.o.  I love Fanime, it's great, lots of viewing rooms, panels (there's one about memes too, which should be interesting) lots of cosplayers, and stuff. Lots of stuff. Last year I got to Fanime at like 10am.

So yeah, potentially I'll get there in the evening which makes me sad, but that being

So I ended up not logging every day there even though I had free wi-fi in my hotel. :shrug: It will be hard to log all the days...

First I remember arriving at about 5:30am, waiting in line to get my badge, and the first person I met was a Dante cosplayer who was very outgoing, attention seeking, and had a real muscular chest. I first spent a while finding my cosplay group, and hanging out with them during the photo shoot with the professional photographer. Due to confusing problems I odd cloud out. I've been sick since I got back from the con with a high fever. I've meant to post some work, but it's been really hard to do it with a bad headache and all that other stuff. I'm feeling better today though, I might try, I still have that commission to finish, a couple drawings for some people ;) a couple stories to write, and some models to get to XD

09/06/11--12:50: San Jose Tech Museum (chan 2056047)




When I heard my parents wanted to go to the Tech Museum, I forgot where it was. In the back of my mind I was like "oh cool. San Jose, I went to Fanime there." When I got there, however, and we drove down almaden blvd I was like "no way" when I saw the museum was literally across the street and one building off.

I went with a friend to see what they had there, since it was "supposed" to be free admission, but their information was all weird. We had to pay - but we were heavily discounted, so we got in for really cheap. I remember as a little kid they had this billard ball track.
